Artist Statement
This work is inspired by the naked body of the woman that represents purity, from where life is born and through it I found the way to represent the interior of people, their feelings and emotions. This series is made with image transfers on canvas. I make a photograph that I print on paper, then I transfer that paper onto the canvas with gesso. When it is dry I remove all the paper and the result is the transferred image with textures and reliefs. Then I paint the whole canvas with color, which makes the figure blend with the background and highlights the textures with color.
